The New Zealand Law Society (Māori: Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa) is the parent body for barristers and solicitors in New Zealand. It was established in 1869, and regulates all lawyers practising in New Zealand. Membership of the society is voluntary, although any person wishing to practice law in New Zealand must obtain a practising certificate from the society. The society has 13 branch offices throughout the country. Each branch has a president and a council, which represent their members’ interests on a regional and national level.

Die New Zealand Law Society ist die anwaltliche Standesorganisation der Barrister und Solicitors in Neuseeland. August 2008 in Kraft befindliche Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (LCA).Die Gesellschaft reguliert die anwaltliche Praxis in Neuseeland. Die Mitgliedschaft ist freiwillig, allerdings muss jede Person, die in Neuseeland anwaltlich tätig werden will, eine kostenpflichtige Zulassung der Society erwerben. Die Society hat 13 Zweigstellen. Jede Zweigstelle hat einen Präsidenten und einen Rat, die die Interessen ihrer Mitglieder auf regionaler und nationaler Ebene vertreten. Ursprünglich bestanden 14 eigenständige District Law Societies mit eigenständiger Regulierungskompetenz, die in der Verbandsstruktur der New Zealand Law Society föderal zusammenarbeiteten. Mit dem 31. Januar 2009 wurden diese Organisationen in die New Zealand Law Society überführt. Einzige Ausnahme ist Auckland. Am Folgetag wurden in den früheren Distrikten und Auckland Zweigstellen der New Zealand Law Society eröffnet.
