John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon KG PC QC (* 5. He was a Labour Party Member of Parliament for over 41 years, from 1959 to 2001, which included a period as Secretary of State for Wales from 1974 to 1979 and as Attorney General between 1997 and 1999. He is the only living former Labour MP who was first elected in the 1950s. He is also the last surviving member of Harold Wilson's 1974–76 cabinet, and is the current longest-serving Privy Counsellor. His combined parliamentary service has totalled over 60 years.

W 1970 r. został członkiem Tajnej Rady. W latach 1974–1979 był członkiem gabinetu jako minister ds. Walii. Po porażce Partii Pracy w 1979 r. był przez dwa lata mówcą Opozycji na tematy prawne. Po powrocie laburzystów do władzy w 1997 r. został prokuratorem generalnym. Na tym stanowisku pozostawał do 1999 r. Po rezygnacji ze stanowiska prokuratora otrzymał tytuł szlachecki. W Izbie Gmin zasiadał do 2001 r., kiedy to zrezygnował ze startu w wyborach. Rychło został kreowany parem dożywotnim jako baron Morris of Aberavon i zasiadł w Izbie Lordów.
