Over 1000 municipally-owned trams served the city of Glasgow, Scotland, with over 100 route miles (160 route kilometres) by 1922. The system closed in 1962 and was the last city tramway in Great Britain (prior to the construction of new systems in the 1990s).

De Glasgow Corporation Tramways (GCT) was een groot tramsysteem in de stad Glasgow (Schotland). De laatste tram reed op 4 september 1962. Op dat moment reden alleen nog in de Engelse badplaats Blackpool trams en op het Brits Kroonbezit het eiland Man. De GCT was het grootste tramwegbedrijf in het Verenigd Koninkrijk na dat van Londen en had op haar hoogtepunt meer dan 1200 trams in bedrijf. Het bedrijf was verder uniek omdat het het grootste gedeelte van haar trams zelf in de Car Works bouwde.
