Die Taekwondo-Europameisterschaften sind die von der European Taekwondo Union (ETU) ausgetragenen kontinentalen Meisterschaften im Taekwondo. Erstmals fanden die Titelkämpfe im Jahr 1976 statt, nur einen Monat nach Gründung der ETU. Seitdem werden sie alle zwei Jahre ausgetragen.

V Česku má dlouhou tradici výuka taekwonda dle metodiky Českého svazu Taekwon-Do ITF, která po smrti tvůrce taekwonda a zakladatele ITF Čchö Hong-huije v roce 2002 a následném rozpadu ITF se přiklonila na stranu Čang Ungova ITF. Konkurenční ITF dnes vedená Pablo Trajtenbergem má v Česku zastoupení v České národní unii Taekwon-Do ITF.

O segundo e terceiro posto esta ocupado pela Turquia e Alemanha, respectivamente. A Turquia conquistou 51 medalhas de ouro e 153 medalhas ao todo e a Alemanha, 48 medalhas de ouro e 150 ao todo. Portugal conquistou a sua primeira medalha em 1996 com Eurypodes Costa que ganhou a medalha de bronze na categoria de +83kg. Só nestes últimos anos Portugal consegui atingir bons resultados com mais regularidade. Na edição de 2014, Rui Bragança conquistou a primeira e única medalha de ouro para Portugal, Mário Silva tendo ganhado na mesma edição a medalha de bronze.
