Die Europäische Säule sozialer Rechte (ESSR, englisch European Pillar of Social Rights, französisch socle européen des droits sociaux) ist eine Initiative der Europäischen Kommission. Mit der ESSR sollen umfassende Reformen der europäischen Arbeitsmärkte und Sozialsysteme angestoßen werden. Bei einem Gipfel in Göteborg bekannten sich die 28 Staaten am 17. November 2017 in einer Erklärung zu gemeinsamen Mindeststandards, darunter faire Löhne, Hilfe bei Arbeitslosigkeit und angemessene Renten.

The European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) is a set of documents containing 20 key principles and rights intended to build a fairer Europe in the fields of labour markets and welfare systems. Initiated by the European Commission and solemnly proclaimed by the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council in November 2017 in Gothenburg, the EPSR is built around three main sections: equal opportunities and access to the labour market, fair working conditions, and social protection and inclusion. The EPSR is not a binding document but a tool reaffirming and completing pre-existing rights contained in the Treaties.

Deklarationen utgör inte en europeisk lag, utan är en icke-bindande politisk förklaring där medlemsstaterna och unionens institutioner beskriver vilka åtgärder de står politiskt bakom. En del av dessa åtgärder kommer att i ett senare skede genomföras genom lagstiftningsakter i form av förordningar och direktiv, eller genom nationella lagstiftningsakter.
