Ustavující zákon Kolumbijského distriktu z roku 1801 (oficiálně Zákon o federálním distriktu D.C.) byl zákon přijatý Kongresem v návaznosti na platný Článek 1 Sekce 8 Ústavy Spojených států amerických. Jeho účelem bylo umístění Washingtonu, D. C. pod správu Kongresu a rozčlenění nezačleněných teritorií spadajících do něj do dvou okresů: Washington County na severu a východě od řeky Potomac a Alexandria County na západě a jihu. Charty týkající se dvou fakticky existujících velkoměst a Alexandrie zůstaly ponechány a nedošlo k jejich zrušení. Stejně tak i právní řády států Maryland a Virginie zůstaly i nadále platné v rámci federálního distriktu. Ve všech nově vzniklých okresech byly také ustaveny okresní soudy.

The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1801, officially An Act Concerning the District of Columbia (6th Congress, 2nd Sess., ch. 15, 2 Stat. 103, February 27, 1801), is an organic act enacted by the United States Congress in accordance with Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution. It formally placed the District of Columbia under the control of the United States Congress and organized the territory within the district into two counties: Washington County to the north and east of the Potomac River and Alexandria County to the west and south.
