Der Presiding Bishop ist Oberhaupt der Convocation, seine Aufsicht wird jedoch an einen in Europa residierenden Suffraganbischof delegiert. Der derzeitige Inhaber dieses Amtes folgte 2019 auf seinen Vorgänger Pierre Whalon. Er ist der zweite Bischof der Convocation, der durch eine Convocation Convention gewählt wurde, bevor er dann durch den Presiding Bishop ernannt wurde. Die Convocation pflegt mit den anderen Bistümern der Anglikanischen Gemeinschaft in Europa eine enge Zusammenarbeit:

Jeder wurde Weihbischof in einer der anderen Diözesen. Ebenso übt Edington das Amt eines Assistenzbischofs im Katholischen Bistum der Alt-Katholiken in Deutschland aus.

The convocation includes all Episcopal congregations in continental Europe. On April 6, 2019, Mark Edington succeeded the Right Reverend Pierre W. Whalon as bishop in charge, in a consecration and installation ceremony presided over by the presiding bishop, the Most Reverend Michael Curry, at the American Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris. The convocation currently has an institutional presence in seven European countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Georgia.
