En effet, le règlement ne prend pas en compte la différence de points (plus importante du côté du XV de France) ; les deux nations sont données ex æquo, victoire partagée. De plus elles réalisent quelque chose de très rare dans le Tournoi, à savoir un Petit Chelem, en remportant trois victoires, un nul et aucune défaite. Il s'agit du premier Petit Chelem pour le XV de France, du troisième pour celui de la Rose.

Including the previous incarnations as the Home Nations and Five Nations, this was the sixty-sixth series of the northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 9 January and 9 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Grazie a due vittorie in altrettante partite, da parte loro, i Bleues terminarono il torneo appaiati in testa ai loro rivali d'Oltremanica, e come loro imbattuti, e condivisero il titolo.

The 1960 Five Nations Championship was the thirty-first series of the rugby union Five Nations Championship. Including the previous incarnations as the Home Nations and Five Nations, this was the sixty-sixth series of the northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 9 January and 9 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The championship was jointly won by England and France. Both teams beat Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the France-England game was drawn 3-3, giving both teams a total of 7 points in the final table. There was no tie-break in the Five Nations at the time and the championship was shared. England's three wins gave them the Triple Crown for the fourteenth time; they would not win it again until the 1980 Five Nations Championship.

Grazie a due vittorie in altrettante partite, da parte loro, i Bleues terminarono il torneo appaiati in testa ai loro rivali d'Oltremanica, e come loro imbattuti, e condivisero il titolo. Il valore delle marcature, come stabilito dall’IRFB nel 1948, era: 3 punti per ciascuna meta (5 se trasformata), 3 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun calcio piazzato, mark o drop.
