The 1928 Cheltenham by-election was a parliamentary by-election held on 26 September 1928 for the British House of Commons constituency of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. The seat had become vacant when the constituency's Conservative Member of Parliament (MP), Sir James Agg-Gardner, had died on 9 August 1928, aged 81.
