Turniersieger wurde Schottland, das mit Siegen gegen alle anderen Teilnehmer zum ersten Mal den Grand Slam schaffte, mit Siegen gegen alle britischen Mannschaften auch die Triple Crown. Including the previous Home Nations Championships, this was the thirty-eighth series of the annual northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 24 January and 18 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The 1925 Five Nations Championship was the eleventh series of the rugby union Five Nations Championship following the inclusion of France into the Home Nations Championship. Including the previous Home Nations Championships, this was the thirty-eighth series of the annual northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 24 January and 18 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Scotland's Johnnie Wallace scored a try against each other country in this tournament, repeating the achievement of Carston Catcheside of England the previous year. It would be 58 years before another player recorded such a feat, and 74 years before another Scottish player did it again.

Si tenne tra il 1º gennaio e il 13 aprile 1925 e fu vinto dalla Scozia, che nella circostanza si aggiudicò il suo tredicesimo titolo assoluto, ottavo indiviso; nella giornata di chiusura del suo torneo, in cui batté l'Inghilterra aggiudicandosi, oltre al Championship, anche il Grande Slam e la Calcutta Cup, la Scozia disputò il suo primo incontro al nuovo stadio di Murrayfield a Edimburgo, inaugurato proprio in tale occasione.La partita segnò ancha la prima sconfitta inglese contro la Scozia dal 1912. Ultima in classifica a zero punti e con il whitewash fu la Francia. Il valore delle marcature, come stabilito dall’IRFB nel 1905, era: 3 punti per ciascuna meta (5 se trasformata), 3 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun calcio piazzato o mark, 4 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun drop.
