rdf:langString Zebediela is a group of villages in Capricorn District Municipality of Limpopo Province, South Africa. It is situated south-east of Polokwane next to Lebowakgomo. It is well known for the production of citrus fruits (mainly oranges).The proper name of the place is Sebetiela, the name of former (now late) Ndebele chief of the area. Zebediela is home to the (13,785 hectares (34,060 acres)), one of the largest citrus estates in the country. Most of the citrus products produced at the estate are exported to the international market and the rest supplied to local markets.The dominating language in the area is Northern Sotho, the second largely spoken native language is 'Sedhebele sa se Moledlane' which is a home language of the Kekana Royal family, and there are smaller portions of people speaking Afrikaans, Venda, and Tsonga. Notable natives of Zebediela include singers and songwriters Umanji and Steve Kekana, as well as singer/rapper Senyaka. Known football players Alex Bapela, Hlompho Kekana,Amanda Manku, Paseka Mako, and the late Motjeka Madisha are from ZB as it is colloquially called. Phalane also plays football in big league DSTV League. and Dr. , businesswoman and also hail from Zebediela.Lantshene Shopping & Entertainment Zebediela plaza is the main shopping center for all surrounding villages with Notable retailers like Shoprite, KFC, Debonaires pizza etc. For refreshments and night life, ZB residents favourite chilling spot is Andy's pub well known as Ga Stan at Mathibela township, also Cassablanca tarven located oppisite to Zebediela Plaza and many others all around the area. Healthcare Groothoek hospital was one of the biggest hospitals in the northern province before it was shut down, after that, there was construction of Zebediela hospital situated in Magatle and Lebowakgomo hospital at block A's. Unjani clinic is also located at moletlane towards mogoto next to discount supermarket. There are also other private general health practitioners and many traditional doctors.
