Walter Emil Kaegi, né le 8 novembre 1937 et mort le 24 février 2022, est un byzantiniste américain. Ses travaux portent principalement sur la première moitié de l’histoire byzantine, de la fondation de l’Empire à l’ère macédonienne et plus précisément sur son histoire militaire.
