Voice of Tibet (VOT) est une station de radiodiffusion internationale norvégienne à destination du Tibet, du Népal, du Bhoutan, de l'Inde et de la Chine. Pour cela elle utilise les ondes courtes. Elle a été fondée par trois ONG norvégiennes : la (en), le Norwegian Tibet Committee et Worldview Rights. La station commence à émettre en tibétain le 14 mai 1996. La diffusion se faisait par un émetteur situé aux Seychelles appartenant à la Far East Broadcasting Association, une association protestante évangélique américaine, basée en Californie. Désormais la diffusion est réalisée par un émetteur de Douchanbé, au Tadjikistan. En 1997, Voice of Tibet a déménagé à Dharamsala. Elle diffuse également des programmes en mandarin. They carry reports on environmental issues, health care (both traditional and modern), and global affairs. Broadcasts of Voice of Tibet reach China and Tibet through transmitters in the Indian Ocean as well as in Russia and Central Asia. The PRC attempts to jam signals from the Voice of Tibet from reaching Tibetans with Communist China.

Jedyna na świecie rozgłośnia, która nadaje na falach krótkich codzienny program w języku chińskim w całości poświęcony informacjom na temat Tybetu. Została założona w 1996 roku Radiostacja składa relacje z wydarzeń z całego świata związane ze sprawą Tybetu; przekazuje wiadomości pochodzące od społeczności tybetańskiej na emigracji, jak również z samego Tybetu; przypomina o kwestii tybetańskiej na arenie międzynarodowej; informuje o sytuacji ruchów demokratycznych w Chinach; zajmuje się dydaktyką praw człowieka; nadaje audycje o tybetańskiej kulturze, muzyce i legendach, a także reportaże oraz informacje na temat medycyny, zarówno tradycyjnej, jak i nowoczesnej; porusza również zagadnienia związane z ochroną środowiska. Od 2001 r. na sprzęt i środki mające poprawić moc i zasięg chińskich rozgłośni oraz zwiększyć skuteczność zagłuszania transmisji zagranicznych na falach krótkich KPCh przeznaczyła co najmniej 500 milionów dolarów.
