Le 15 juin 2022, le groupe Lagardère annonce le retour de la station Europe 2, remerciant Virgin, ses équipes ainsi que Richard Branson, pour les quinze années passées avec Virgin Group. Le 1er janvier 2023, Europe 2 remplacera donc, à nouveau, Virgin Radio.
