On January 14, 2021, female transgender weightlifter JayCee Cooper launched a discrimination lawsuit against USA Powerlifting in the District Court of Minnesota. In place of IPF World Championships, USA Powerlifting has started the USA Powerlifting Pro Series Circuit.
