UN Youth New Zealand (formerly the United Nations Youth Association of New Zealand or UNYANZ) is a registered charity. It is powered solely by volunteers who are aged 25 or under or full-time tertiary students. It is the largest youth-for-youth organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand. Annually, over 3,000 young Kiwis from Northland to Southland engage with a UN Youth event. UN Youth has a mission to inspire young Kiwis from all backgrounds to be engaged global citizens. UN Youth achieves this mission by hosting international tours, national conferences and regional events for both secondary and tertiary students. The organisation is led by the values of empowerment, equity, kotahitanga and whanaungatanga. UN Youth is the youth arm of the United Nations Association of New Zealand (UNANZ), who is a member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA).
