The album was primarily produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, with additional production from Scott Storch, R. Kelly, and Joe Little III. The album debuted at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 122,000 copies and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
