L'album fut à l'origine publié en en 1977, puis republié en CD en 1991, avec des morceaux tirés de singles parus en 1977 et 1978. L'édition LP a bénéficié de plusieurs repressages. Le pressage original chez Industrial Records était de 785 copies : en a ensuite pressé 2000 copies. La troisième édition faisait partie du coffret de 5 disques Throbbing Gristle box set; cette version a été remontée afin de jouer l'album à l'envers tout en intégrant un orchestre de chambre sur le morceau "After Cease to Exist". La matrice de cette version de Fetish fut utilisée par Mute Records pour les rééditions subséquentes. Une autre version existe sur Celluloid Records, mais n'a pas été sanctionnée par le groupe. (At the very least, the Celluloid issue is known to have poor sound quality.) En 2008, des nouvelles interprétations de la musique de l'album paraissent sous le titre The Thirty-Second Annual Report of Throbbing Gristle. Enregistré en concert à Paris lors d'un concert à la Villette afin de célébrer le 30e anniversaire de la parution de l'album original The Second Annual Report. En 2011 Chris Carter réédite et remasterise tous les albums studio de Throbbing Gristle, en LP et en CD, en tirage limité. Ces albums sont sortis sur Industrial Records, après la fin du contrat avec Mute Records.
