Le Daily Mirror australien était un journal du soir créé par Ezra Norton à Sydney en 1941, après avoir obtenu une autorisation du ministre du Commerce, Eric Harrison, malgré le rationnement du papier en cette période de guerre. En octobre 1958, Norton et ses associés vendirent le journal au groupe Fairfax qui le revendit immédiatement à la News Corporation de Rupert Murdoch. Il fut fusionné avec le journal The Daily Telegraph le 8 octobre 1990 pour donner qui en 1996 reprit le nom de The Daily Telegraph, faisant disparaître ainsi toute référence au Daily Mirror. rdf:langString
The Daily Mirror was an afternoon paper established by Ezra Norton in Sydney, Australia in 1941, gaining a licence from the Minister for Trade and Customs, Eric Harrison, despite wartime paper rationing. In October 1958, Norton and his partners sold his newspapers to the Fairfax Group, which immediately sold it to News Limited. It was merged with its morning sister paper The Daily Telegraph on 8 October 1990 to form The Daily Telegraph-Mirror, which in 1996 reverted to The Daily Telegraph, in the process removing the last vestige of the old Daily Mirror. rdf:langString
