The series is a UKTV original, commissioned for Yesterday and produced by Brown Bob Productions. Two further series were commissioned by UKTV in October 2020, with the sequel premiering on 19 January 2021, and the third series premiering on 13 September 2021. In August 2022 it was announced that that a fourth series had been commissioned to be broadcast in 2023. Following its success, a new programme presented by Dunn entitled Secrets of the London Underground was broadcast in 2021.
