Talom Rukbo was the father of Donyi-Polo, a revivalist religious movement based in Arunachal Pradesh which attempts to reconstruct Tani (Adi) animist spirituality. He has criticized Christian missionaries for fraudulent conversion practices in the Northeast of India.
