Pada tahun 2005, tiga kelompok terpumpun (Udara dan Perubahan Iklim, Air dan Tanah Bersih, Alam dan Kesehatan Masyarakat) secara resmi dibentuk untuk melakukan tinjauan SGP 2012 tiga tahun sekali. menerima banyak umpan balik dan rekomendasi, lalu menyesuaikan dan memutakhirkan rencana ini. Revisi SGP 2012 meliputi penghapusan target dan program tertentu sekaligus memperbarui dan memperluas tujuan program lainnya.

In 2005, three focus groups on Air and Climate Change, Water and Clean Land, Nature and Public Health were officially formed to undertake a three-yearly review of the SGP 2012. MEWR accepted many of the groups' feedback and recommendations, subsequently incorporating the changes and updates into the plan. The revised SGP 2012 included changes such as the removal of certain targets and programmes and while updating and expanding the goals of others. In February 2021, the refreshed Singapore Green Plan 2030 was launched.
