Simon Whelehan (born 27 July 1976) is an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Offaly senior hurling team. Whelehan made his first appearance for the team during the 1998 championship and subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 2004 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal. Whelehan was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Whelehan is a three-time All-Ireland medalist with Birr. In addition to this he has also won five Leinster medals and ten county club championship medals.
