Shurugwi, auch Selukwe oder Churugwi, ist ein Ort in der Provinz Midlands in Simbabwe. Er hat 21.950 Einwohner (Stand 2012). und liegt 1500 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel südöstlich von Gweru im Gebiet des Great Dyke. Shurugwi ist eine Stadt des Bergbaus. In den Shurugwi Chrome Mines fördert die Zimbabwe Mining and Smelting Company (ZIMASCO) Chromit. In geringerem Umfang wird auch Gold gewonnen, das ab 1890 lange die Grundlage des Bergbaus war. Das Chrom wird in Kwekwe geschmolzen. Das Umland wird von Kleinbauern dominiert.

The town lies in well wooded, hilly and picturesque country at an altitude of about 1,440 metres (4700') and is well watered having a typical annual rainfall of 89 cm (3'). On a clear day it is quite possible to see the hills around Masvingo and Great Zimbabwe, the latter being over 145 km (90 miles) away.
