Dalam mitologi Hindu, Sarmista (Dewanagari: शर्मिष्ठा; IAST: Śarmiṣṭhā शर्मिष्ठा) merupakan puteri Wresaparwa, pemimpin para Detya yang berguru kepada Sukracarya, ayah Dewayani. Riwayatnya muncul sekilas dalam kitab pertama Mahabharata, yaitu Adiparwa. Ketika Mahaguru Sukra hendak berhenti mendidik para Detya karena kelakuan mereka yang jahat, Wresaparwa berusaha mempersembahkan sesuatu kepada gurunya agar Sang Guru tidak berhenti mengajar. Sharmishtha (Sanskrit: सर्मिष्ठा, romanized: Śarmiṣṭhā) is a princess in Hindu mythology. She is described to be the daughter of the daitya king Vrishaparvan. She becomes the second wife of Yayati, due to which she becomes an ancestor of the Pandavas and the Kauravas. She is featured as a friend of Devayani, for whom she later becomes a servant.
