Der Schwarze See ist ein See auf der Ostseeinsel Rügen. Er gehört zur Gemarkung von Sellin und befindet sich im Wald- und Naturschutzgebiet Granitz. Die Fläche des Sees beträgt 23 Hektar, seine größte Tiefe 15 Meter und die Höhe des Seespiegels über dem Meeresspiegel 54,2 m ü. NHN. Der nährstoffarme See gehört zu dem sehr seltenen Gewässertyp des sogenannten Kesselsees. Im Randbereich finden Zwischenmoor- und Hochmoorbildung statt. Zum Teil besteht eine Schwingdeckenvegetation. Hier kommen Torfmoos, Wollgräser, Fieberklee, Moosbeere und Rosmarinheide vor.

Für Wanderer und Radwanderer ist der See jedoch über den von Binz nach Sellin führenden Wanderweg aus zugänglich. Über einen kleinen Holzsteg kann man bis auf den See gelangen.

Around the shores the formation of transitional bogs and raised bogs is taking place. It places there is a quagmire vegetation. Here, peat moss, cottongrasses, bog-bean, cranberries and bog rosemary occur. The entire lake, the bogs around its shores and a 100-metre-wide strip of the wood surrounding the lake are designated as a core zone of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve. That said, the lake is accessible to hikers and cyclists along the path from Binz to Sellin. The lake itself can be reached on a small wooden jetty.
