The Saltwick Formation is a Middle Jurassic geologic formation in Yorkshire and the western North Sea. It is primarily Aalenian in age. Fossil footprints, assigned to the tetrapod ichnogenus Characichnos, as well as stegosaur tracks have been reported from the formation.
