La course pour Tunis est une offensive de la campagne de Tunisie qui s'est déroulée en novembre et décembre 1942 pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. L'opposition française aux débarquements alliés de l'opération Torch ayant cessée à la mi-novembre, les Alliés lancèrent une avance rapide avec une force de la taille d'une division à l'est de l'Algérie avant pour objectif de capturer Tunis et empêcher une accumulation des troupes de l'Axe en Tunisie mais ceux-ci échouèrent de peu. Certaines troupes alliées étaient à moins de 32 km de la capitale tunisienne fin novembre, mais furent repoussés d'une trentaine de kilomètres de leurs positions initiales à la suite d'une contre-attaque.

Once French opposition to the Allied Operation Torch landings had ceased in mid-November, the Allies made a rapid advance by a division-sized force east from Algeria, to capture Tunis and forestall an Axis build up in Tunisia and narrowly failed. Some Allied troops were fewer than 20 miles (32 km) short of Tunis by late November but the defenders counter-attacked and pushed them back nearly 20 miles (32 km), to positions which had stabilised by the end of the year.
