Roy A. Batchelor (born 23 March 1947) is HSBC Professor of Banking and Finance in the Cass Business School of City, University of London. Before joining City University in 1977, Batchelor worked as a government scientist and as a forecaster at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. Batchelor's research focuses on economic and financial forecasting, rationality and behavioural finance, and risk management in financial markets.
