Ronald Frame (born 23 May 1953) is a prize-winning novelist, short story writer and dramatist. He was educated in Glasgow, and at Oxford University. He has written many original plays and adaptations (most recently The Other Simenon) for BBC Radio. His serial The Hydro (three series) was a popular success. A radio memoir of growing up in 50s and 60s Scottish suburbia, Ghost City, transferred to BBC Television. Unwritten Secrets, a novel and his fifteenth book of fiction, was published in 2010. His papers, to 2000, can be accessed at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh.
