Le Vigan fue reemplazado por Pierre Renoir. Fue condenado a 10 años de trabajos forzados en 1946. Liberado en libertad condicional después de tres años de trabajo en un campamento, Le Vigan se fugó a España y luego a Argentina, muriendo allí en la pobreza el 12 de octubre de 1972, en la ciudad de Tandil.

He was sentenced to forced labour for 10 years in 1946. Released on parole after three years working in a camp, Le Vigan absconded to Spain, and then Argentina, dying there in poverty on October 12, 1972, in the city of Tandil.
