Rancho Pescadero (also called "Punta del Cipreses") was a 4,426-acre (17.91 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County, California given in 1836 by Governor Nicolás Gutiérrez to Fabián Barreto. Pescadero means fishing place in Spanish.
