Ramasimhan (born Ali Akbar; 20 February 1963) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist who works in Malayalam cinema. He directed more than 20 Malayalam movies, including Grama Panchayath, Bamboo Boys, Junior Mandrake, Kudumba Vaarthakal and Pai Brothers. In 2020, Ramasimhan announced a new movie to be produced through crowdfunding, titled , based on the 1921 Malabar rebellion.
