Dal 2005 al 2008 era attivo il sito web Rai Click TV e dal 2007 al 2016 era attivo il portale multimediale Rai.tv. Dal 12 settembre 2016, RaiPlay ha sostituito definitivamente Rai.tv. Affidata dal 2005 fino al 2014 a RaiNet, la piattaforma di video on demand è gestita da RaiPlay e Digital (dal 2014 al 2019 Area Digital), diretta da Elena Capparelli, che già aveva ricoperto lo stesso incarico dal 2005 al 2014.

More children programmes have also been added. RaiPlay has accounts on the main social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) where the latest content and live streaming is shared. The site is also available for smartphones with the dedicated app downloadable from Microsoft Store, Google Play and App Store. Commercials are managed by Rai Pubblicità, a Rai company.
