The Papora (Chinese: 拍瀑拉; pinyin: Bābùlė) are a Taiwanese indigenous people. They lived primarily in the area around Taichung and the Taiwanese western coastal littoral. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Dutch East India Company traded with the Papora and provide records of life among them. Not much is known about the history of the people of Papora, as records were destroyed in a mass genocide committed in 1670 by the Cheng Cheng-gong's forces following widespread resistance by Papora, Babuza, Taokas and Pazeh speaking peoples of the central plain.

巴布拉（Papora、Vupuran、Bopalat、Basagar、Babusagar，亦作拍瀑拉族）為台灣原住民，平埔族群之一，詞源來自大肚社人之自稱Papula（音近巴布拉）。早期曾分布於今臺中市大肚區、大甲區、沙鹿區、龍井區、梧棲區、南屯區和清水區一帶的海岸平原。巴布拉族為建立構成大肚王國最主要的民族之一，在荷蘭、明鄭和清治時期都有被討伐的記錄。1731年－1732年該族反抗清朝的大甲西社抗清事件，為史載最大的熟蕃民變。也因為此民變，中部平埔族群包含道卡斯族崩山社群、部分巴布薩族以及巴布拉族慘遭屠殺，統治台灣的清廷取消漢人移民來台的「禁止攜眷」政令。1822年，埔里盆地南方的埔番蛤美蘭社遭郭百年私自率領墾戶劫掠屠殺，後來連合水沙連邵族招西部平埔6族入墾埔里。在可耕地與部落遭漢人強佔、原鄉生存不易的情況下，巴布拉族就如同另外5族一樣，集體遷往埔里。臺灣知名歌手蔡依林的外婆即是巴布拉族人，她的外高祖母曾任部落中十分重要的「曲頭」－農曆七月一日敲鑼領唱召集大家一起來「牽田」的工作，唱到興致高昂時，就會邊跳邊抖，變成「抖田」或稱「跳田」。
