In Europe, the 3DS game was once again split into two releases, with episode 1 released as One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP on February 10, 2012, and episode 2 as One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP 2 on July 27, 2012. Unlike the predecessor, One Piece: Unlimited Adventure, One Piece: Unlimited Cruise was localised by only in PAL regions and the PAL versions only have Japanese voices with multi-lingual subtitles (including English) instead of English voices. It was followed by a sequel One Piece: Unlimited World Red which was released on Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.

Il gioco è un picchiaduro a scorrimento che si svolge su varie isole, sulle quali il giocatore impersonifica un personaggio a scelta (che può essere cambiato quando si vuole) della Ciurma di Cappello di Paglia dovrà affrontare gruppi di nemici (alcuni originali, altri tratti dal manga), guadagnando nuove mosse man mano che l'avventura prosegue. Sulle varie isole si possono trovare anche materie prime (liane, erbe curative, insetti) utili per creare nuovi oggetti indispensabili per proseguire il gioco. Oltre alle isole si può visitare la Thousand Sunny, sulla quale si potranno immagazzinare e lavorare gli oggetti trovati sulle isole. Il gioco presenta anche una modalità VS in cui sfidare la CPU o un altro giocatore e una modalità survival dove scegliendo uno dei personaggi sbloccati bisogna combattere contro 200 nemici.Per sbloccare i personaggi della modalità VS si devono soddisfare determinate condizioni nel gioco principale, generalmente sconfiggendo i boss del gioco.
