Its Aathawadi bazar (weekly fair) of cottage animals (especially bulls) is well known. Murud is also known as biggest "Gram Panchayat" in "Marathwada" region. Here is one ancient temple of "Shree lord Datta" whose "pujari Kashinath Maharaj" was one of the great personality.
