The Miss Nevada competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Nevada in the Miss America pageant, and the name of the title held by that winner. The first Nevadan to compete at Miss America was Carol Lampe in 1949. The pageant was traditionally held in Reno and currently takes place in Las Vegas. Heather Renner of Reno was crowned Miss Nevada 2022 on July 2, 2022 at the Orleans Showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will compete for the title of Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut in December 2022.
