Michael Plowden (1958 - Pinhal Novo – 28 February 2008) was an American-born Portuguese naturalized basketball player and coach. He played as a power forward. Plowden came to Portugal still in his 20s to play for Barreirense. He later would represent Benfica, in the best years of his career, winning several National Champion titles and the Cup of Portugal. Em 1980 Mike Plowden veio para Portugal após ter feito basquetebol universitário na Universidade de . Veio representar o Barreirense, que representou até 1985. De 1985 até 1993 representou o Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Em 1997 ajudou o Barreirense a vencer a 2.ª divisão Nacional de Basquetebol e assim subir à 1.ª divisão. rdf:langString
