Zum Metro Toronto Convention Centre gehört ein 78 Meter hohes Hotelgebäude und das 15-stöckige CN Building. Mit der Union Station ist das Zentrum über eine Fußgängerbrücke verbunden. Im Zentrum fanden internationale und große Veranstaltungen statt, wie die G7-Konferenz 1988, das NHL Entry Draft 1985 oder die XVI Internationale AIDS-Konferenz 2006. Darüber hinaus werden regelmäßig Fernsehproduktionen im Convention Centre aufgenommen. Zwischen dem 26. bis zum 27. Juni 2010 fand im Metro Toronto Convention Centre der G20-Gipfel statt. Il a également été le lieu où ont été organisés les repêchages d'entrée dans la Ligue nationale de hockey (LNH) de 1985, et où sont remis, chaque année, les trophées et récompenses de la LNH. Południowa część (oddzielona od starszej, północnej torami kolei i całkowicie umieszczona pod ziemią - na powierzchni utworzono nowy park), powstała w 1997 i została upiększona licznymi dziełami sztuki współczesnej. Na zewnątrz wielkie metalowe rzeźby nawiązują do przyrody kanadyjskiej (bałwan i dzięcioł na drzewie). Wewnątrz podziemnej struktury mozaika na posadzce, The Turtle Pond, przedstawia żaby i żółwie. Tuż obok częściowo zachowała się stara parowozownia z 1928 (pierwszą wzniesiono w 1897), która ma być zagospodarowana, mieszcząc między innymi muzeum kolejowe. Tymczasem otwarto tu mały browar Steam Whistle. MTCC sąsiaduje bezpośrednio z CN Tower i Rogers Centre. Jest połączony z siecią pasaży PATH, a poprzez CN SkyWalk z Union Station i Air Canada Centre. W 1985 roku odbył się w tym budynku NHL Entry Draft.
