Melvin Yeoh (born 5 January 1981) is a Malaysian mixed martial artist and Muay Thai champion. As of April 2012 he is the most successful mixed martial artist in Malaysian history with a professional record of 6–1. He began training in Taekwondo in Perlis at the age of 13 and later took up Muay Thai. As a teenager he was encouraged to participate in martial arts by his grandparents because he got in a lot of fights at school. Yeoh's work as a school teacher took him from Perlis to Johor Bahru where he founded the first MMA camp in the region in 2006. rdf:langString
