Melbourne HSOBFC is part of the "Melbourne High School Old Boys Association" (MHSOBA), an organization run primarily by alumni of Melbourne High School. It is known in the non-Melbourne High community primarily for its long tradition of sports clubs. Apart from football, other activities hosted by the Association are cricket and field hockey.
