Maria Spyridaki (Greek: Μαρία Σπυριδάκη), born and raised on the island of Crete, is a Greek fashion model, actress and television presenter. In 2004 she won the title Miss Hellas (Greek: Μις Ελλάς) at the Miss Star Hellas pageant and went on to represent Greece at the Miss World pageant held in Sanya, China in December 2004. In the event Maria made the semifinalists among the top 20 contestants out of 108, who were selected to compete for the Top Fashion Model Award, the fourth of five 'fast-track' events.[1] Maria is a graduate of Political Sciences and History from Panteio University.
