Margaret Keane (born 1959) was the chief executive officer of Synchrony from February 2014 through April 2021. She transitioned to the role of executive chair of Synchrony’s board of directors. Brian Doubles, formerly Synchrony’s president, became chief executive officer. When Synchrony was spun off from General Electric as an independent bank, it became the most valuable bank in the US run by a woman.
