Louis Stanislaus Slevin, (November 7, 1878 – November 9, 1945), also known as L. S. Slevin, was an American photographer, known for his black-and-white images of the Monterey Peninsula. He was a pioneer in the early days of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, the first to open a general merchandise store in 1905, the first postmaster, first express agent, and first city treasurer. His photographs of Carmel from 1903 to 1835 are recognized as historically important as an invaluable record of Carmel's historical past.
