Koji Kakizawa (柿澤 弘治, 26 de noviembre de 1933 - 27 de enero de 2009) fue un político japonés que ostentó el cargo de Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores en 1994. Tras su muerte le fue concedida la Gran Medalla de la Orden del Sol Naciente. En 1994 abandonó el PLD para ayudar a fundar el Partido Liberal ese mismo año. Kakizawa mantuvo su puesto de ministro de asuntos exteriores durante dos meses en el gobierno de coalición del primer ministro Tsutomu Hata. El gobierno de Hata había excluido al PLD del poder. Kakizawa se reincorporó al PLD en 1995.

After his death, he had been conferred as Junior Third Rank, Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun. In 1994, Kakizawa defected from the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in order to help found the now-defunct Liberal Party that same year. He held the post of Foreign Minister of Japan for about two months in 1994 within the coalition government of Prime Minister Tsutomu Hata. Hata's government had excluded the LDP from power.

Tras su graduación en la Facultad de Economía de la Universidad de Tokio trabajó como burócrata en el Ministerio de Finanzas antes de entrar en política. Durante su anexión al ministerio fue trasladado al Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores. Fue elegido para la Cámara de Consejeros en 1977 como miembro del Nuevo Club Liberal (NLC). Se trasladó a la Cámara de Representantes en 1980. Kakizawa dejó entonces el NLC para unirse al Partido Liberal Democrático (PLD). En 1994 abandonó el PLD para ayudar a fundar el Partido Liberal ese mismo año. Kakizawa mantuvo su puesto de ministro de asuntos exteriores durante dos meses en el gobierno de coalición del primer ministro Tsutomu Hata. El gobierno de Hata había excluido al PLD del poder. Kakizawa se reincorporó al PLD en 1995. Se presentó sin éxito como candidato a la alcaldía de Tokio después de ser expulsado del LPD. Continuó en actividad durante siete mandatos en la Cámara de Representantes hasta su retiro en 2003. Murió de cáncer de ésofago el 27 de enero de 2009 a la edad de 75 años.

After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, Kakizawa worked as a bureaucrat within the Ministry of Finance before entering politics. During his enrollment in the ministry, Kakizawa was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and . He was first elected to the House of Councillors in 1977 as a member of the New Liberal Club (NLC), which is now defunct. He moved to the House of Representatives of Japan beginning in 1980. Kakizawa then left the NLC in order to join the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). In 1994, Kakizawa defected from the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in order to help found the now-defunct Liberal Party that same year. He held the post of Foreign Minister of Japan for about two months in 1994 within the coalition government of Prime Minister Tsutomu Hata. Hata's government had excluded the LDP from power. Kakizawa rejoined the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in 1995. Kakizawa unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Tokyo in the 1999 election after being expelled from the LDP. He continued to serve a total of seven terms within the Japanese House of Representatives until his retirement in 2003. Koji Kakizawa died of esophagus cancer on January 27, 2009, at the age of 75 at a hospital in Tokyo. His son Mito Kakizawa became a member of the Diet later that year.
