Keith Hellawell QPM (born 18 May 1942) is a British retired police officer, former UK Government drugs-czar, and ex-chairman of Sports Direct plc. After starting his career as a coal miner, he joined Huddersfield Borough Police in 1962. Claimed to be Britain's then youngest police sergeant at age 23, after passing a fast track examination he was appointed Assistant Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police in 1983.
