Joyeuxiella is a genus of flatworms belonging to the family Dipylidiidae. The species of this genus are found in Africa.The genus Joyeuxilla has proved to be a parasite to hosts like cats, dogs, foxes and wolves.The parasite attacks the small intestine and deforms it while releasing toxins into the host until deceasing it. Two hosts (Eurasian lynx) of endangered species were recently found in Iran and the flatworm genus Joyeuxilla was proved to be the reason for death.
