Sir John Thynne (* 1512, 1513 oder 1515 in , Shropshire; † 21. Mai 1580) war ein englischer Adliger und Politiker. Er war der Begründer der Familie Thynne, war vermutlich achtmal als Parlamentsabgeordneter gewählt worden und gehörte zu den Vertrauten des Lordprotektors Somerset.
