John Joseph Danilovich (born 25 June 1950) is an American business executive. He has also held roles as a senior United States government executive, diplomat, and ambassador, and he is currently secretary general of the International Chamber of Commerce. He has also held roles as a senior United States government executive, diplomat, and ambassador, and he is currently secretary general of the International Chamber of Commerce. Danilovich was the chief executive officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) from 2005 to 2009. Prior to his appointment as CEO of the MCC by President George W. Bush, Danilovich served as the United States Ambassador to Brazil (2004-2005), United States Ambassador to Costa Rica (2001-2004), and was on the board of directors of the Panama Canal Commission (1991-1996), chairing the Commission's Transition Committee prior to the transfer of the Canal to the Panamanians. Danilovich is active in the international maritime industry for several decades and held numerous executive positions in the private sector, including member of the executive management board of Atlas Interocean Shipping Group (1977-1990) and consultant with the Eisenhower Group (1987-1990). Danilovich is a director of d'Amico International Shipping and member of the Audit (Control and Risk) Committee and the Nomination & Remuneration Committee, as well as a European Advisory Council Member of Trilantic Capital Partners LLP.
